Scottish football speaker and left back Callum Davidson began his career playing for his home team of St. Johnstone in the Scottish Premiership. Though momentarily leaving St. Johnstone, with a £1.75 million with a move to Premier League club Blackburn Rovers, as well as spending time at both Leicester City and Preston North End, Callum returned to St. Johnstone in 2011 where he still remained for the rest of his playing career before retirement came in 2014.
Developing his playing career across the various clubs he played for, Davidson began by making less than seventy League performances whilst at Blackburn Rovers, increasing this to 100 at Leicester and culminating in 160 games along with club captaincy at Preston. The 2013-14 season saw St. Johnstone win the Scottish Cup under the tutelage of Davidson as assistant manager at the club. He briefly took charge of the club as the caretaker manager during the absence of Tommy Wright due to health reasons before returning to assistant manager upon Wright’s arrival.
During his playing career Callum obtained International honours representing Scotland in 26 games before joining the Scotland backroom staff for a World Cup qualifier against England in June 2017. Since then Callum Davidson has been working as a football speaker for the club and appeared at St. Johnstone after dinner speaker events and charity fundraisers.
